2023 has started with a bang! Eveline Hall has shot with director, Paul W.S. Anderson opposite Mila Jovovich, in Constantin Pictures In The Lost Lands. Errol Trotman Harewood is shooting opposite Heino Ferch in the Zeitsprung movie directed by Jörg Lühdorff: Die Spur des Kobalts. Mike Davies is shooting with Florian Baxmeyer in the Wiedeman & Berg production, One Trillion Dollars. Hussein Hassan’s feature film The Rain Bride closed 2022 with 5 wins at the Dohuk International Film Festival, running away with the Govenorate Award, Best Director, Best Actor (which he shared with colleague Bangen Ali), and Best Actress Award. The Rain Bride will screen next at the Göteborg Film Fest 2023.  Bujar Alamani’s feature film The Albanian Virgin will celebrate it’s Germany premier in early February starring our very own Rina Krasniqi. Flaka Latifi won Heart of Sarajevo for her performance as Qe in Luána Bajrami’s feature The Hill Where Lionesses Roar at the Sarajevo International Film Festival. This film was nominated for a Golden Camera & the Queer Palm at the Festival du Cannes in 2021. She is currently preparing for her next performance on stage at the Pristina National theatre this Spring in a new musical. Armend Smajli can be seen in Fisnik Maxwille’s feature film The Land Within, which won the Tallin Blacknights Best Feature Film and is currently making it’s way on the festival circuit.
