Wero has been selected as one of eight directors featured in the prestigious T-Port Showcase, part of the Cinéma de Demain – SFC | Rendez-vous Industry program at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Her debut feature film, A Simple Drama, is now supported by Swiss Films and highlighted in their Coming Soon section at the festival.
Wero is currently developing several new projects, including Beach Girls, a documentary series that follows two Olympic beach volleyball athletes who are also sisters. After years of competing against each other, the series captures their emotional and physical journey as they now team up in pursuit of Olympic gold. The project is produced by Shining Brite Switzerland.

Bio

Wero Rodowicz

Wero is a director, script developer, and creative producer working across fiction and series with a focus on social impact. Her storytelling centers women, underrepresented voices, human rights, and environmental themes. She studied at Accademia Teatro Dimitri (SUPSI), Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, and UDK Berlin, where she earned an MA in Visual Communication with a focus on transmedia storytelling. In 2022, she was selected for the prestigious Directing Fiction program at ZHdK. She has also trained at the University of Cambridge in Writing for Performance.
Her professional experience includes work with Netflix, Constantin Television, SKY, Zeitsprung Pictures, and Arbor Films. She previously supported the International Original Film team (DACH) at Netflix under Sasha Bühler. Wero is the founder of Let’s Plant Stories, a creative platform spotlighting underrepresented talent, with a growing community of 130,000+ followers. She lives and works between Berlin, Zurich, and Nice.
